Annual Meeting Questionnaire
At the annual meeting in January, parishioners were asked two questions: What about St. John's life and ministry matters most to you? and What spiritual question that you hold in your heart would you like us as a faith community to explore? If you are interested in reading what we all had to say, click for the unedited version of our answers.  For more information about these questions and answers see our upcoming March newsletter.

Bishop Jelinek Announces His Retirement
The Bishop of Minnesota, James Jelinek, has officially announced his decision to retire in early 2010. This sets in motion a lengthy and intentional process of discernment for the selection of his successor, which will culminate in an election of a new bishop in October, 2009. You can find more information about this important transition in our diocesan life on the diocesan website, www.episcopalmn.org.

The Ninth Bishop of Minnesota Search
Your Diocesan Search Committee is excited to be working on the discernment process for the 9th Bishop of Minnesota, who will be consecrated on February 13, 2010. We are eager to have you join us in the discernment process. The link below will take you to a survey in which you can express your opinions about important characteristics and activities for our next Bishop. To ensure that every voice is heard, we have made arrangements for the survey to be offered in English, Hmong, and Spanish. This is a wonderful opportunity for every member of the Diocese to prayerfully consider the needs of the Diocese and its people and to listen to God's voice through all of the voices across our Diocese. Please help us ensure that our common voice is rightly heard by keeping participation in the survey process only within the Diocese of Minnesota. We eagerly await your responses to the survey. Surveys will be collected between July 20 and August 20, 2008, but please complete your survey as soon as possible. All survey responses are strictly confidential. Results will be reported at the 2008 Diocesan Convention.
