Musical Happenings

There are many ways to be involved musically and one of the great strengths of the St John's music program is the variety of musical abilities, styles and instrumentation our community offers weekly.

If you’re interested consider these:

Parish and Festival Choir (singers high school age and older) The Parish choir prepares and presents selections ranging from Gospel to Classical, rehearsing on Wednesday evenings and singing at 9 or 11am services two Sundays a month. The Festival choir assembles a few weeks before the "High" church celebrations of All Saints (in November), Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. Prior choir experience is valued, but not necessary. If you have a desire and the time, you are welcome!

Cantors - both Choral and Instrumental musicians -  are always welcome at services. Cantors lead the people in song during worship services and need not be present every Sunday, but as their schedule allows.

Guitar Group Most recently known as The EpiscoPals, this energetic group will lead St. Johns' efforts in fundraising for a variety of causes this coming year, including North Side Achievement Zone, St. John's Youth Pilgrimage, and housing ministries.
