Friendship and Support Groups
Adoptive Families A group of families who want to adopt, are in the process of adopting, or who have adopted children. We also welcome anyone whose life has been touched by adoption. We meet quarterly for an informal potluck to share our experience. We hire babysitters to play with our kids as we talk. Contact:

Contemporary Fiction A group that gathers to discuss an eclectic variety of fiction relating to spiritual themes. We meet on the second Friday of each month to discuss either a book or a movie. This September we'll read Walter Isaccson's Benjamin Franklin: An American Life. Contact:

Dine-In Group We welcome all who are 55 years of age or older, married or single, who would like to be included in our dine-In group. We have a pool of people, new members and old, divided into groups of eight to ten that meet in homes for a potluck dinner. We frequently reshuffle the pool for a new set of dinners. Contacts:

Elementary-Aged Families An open social group for children in grades K-6 and their families. We meet seasonally to play kickball in good weather and board games in cold. We may eat a meal or just have some ice cream. It’s just an opportunity to have some fun together. All families welcome. Contact:

Evening Mom's Group Open to any and all mom's interested in building community, sharing the ups and downs of parenting and creating friendships is welcome. We meet Thursday evenings at St Johns from 6:30 - 8pm. Childcare provided. Contact: Cindy Dowson
Lunch Bunch For all who are free for lunch on the third Monday of the month, join us! We meet at 12:00 noon September through May for a potluck lunch and a variety of programs. Contact:

Nursery Families A newly forming group for families with infants and toddlers. We’ve had two gatherings so far, over an early dinner, with childcare, in the church parish hall. We’re just beginning to establish regular meeting times. All families welcome. Contacts:

Single at St Johns SASJ organizes events for those who are single to foster fellowship and community and have some fun! Our events include concerts, dinners, visits to a museum and seasonal outings. We get together once or twice a month and you are welcome to come for one or all of the events. There are a good number of us in the parish who are single so please join us, whether you are separated, divorced, widowed, single, gay or straight. Young Adults Brunch and Conversation All those in their 20s/30s are welcome for a casual, engaging conversation on life and faith. We meet once a month for Sunday brunch. In October, we’ll begin a bi-weekly study of Jesus, a spiritual leader who died in his early 30s. Contact:
