Chad Smith

Chad came to St John’s in October 2007 with 14 years’ experience providing musical leadership for a congregation with broad musical style, as well as in liturgical planning and collaborative ministry. Prior to coming to St. John’s Chad served as the Director of Music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio.

He plays the piano, organ, and guitar, and loves to lead the people’s song! From choosing the hymns we sing on Sunday mornings to coordinating, rehearsing and accompanying a variety of choral and instrumental ensembles at St. John’s, Chad strives to provide a welcoming musical experience for all to participate in.
