Do you remember the first time your child was in the next room alone?  Or the first time they went to the neighbor’s without you?  Or that first ride on the school bus?  First time at camp?  First time driving in the car alone?  Parenting is often simply a series of moments where we are asked to let go, to trust our parenting, to trust the judgements of our children, to trust in the benevolent care of God.  And to make sure that there are good people watching out for them when we are not able to.

At St. John’s we strive to be the community that helps watch over your children.  We realize that raising children is a communal affair and take seriously our role as stewards of the next generation.  We do this by teaching them the basics of faith, exposing them to diverse and stimulating ideas,  giving them opportunities to serve, keeping them safe, but most of all, by nurturing their God-given gifts and interests.
