How Can We Help?

Our mission at St. John’s includes sharing the joys and pains of life’s passages with one another. Here are some of the ways we offer our prayers and support:

  • The Prayer Chain: is a network of people who pray for the particular needs and concerns. All prayer requests are confidential. To receive the prayers of the Prayer Chain, contact Jymie Anderson at 612-925-2390 or the church office at 612-922-0396.
  • Transportation Ministry:  a ministry for those who need assistance in coming to church.
  • Home Communion: a team of trained lay ministers are here to bring communion once a month to those unable to worship in church.
  • Individual pastoral support: for those in need of a prayerful, supportive presence with either a clergy person or trained lay minister.
  • Referrals for professional counseling: for those times when more sustained support and help are needed.
  • Referrals for Spiritual Direction: a professional ministry of listening for the presence of God in our lives.
  • Meals ministry:  for individuals or families during hospitalization, or in times of grief.
  • Baby support ministry:  for families with a newborn or adopted child, including visitation and meals.

For more information about any of these ministries, please contact the church office at 612-922-0396.
