Transitional PriestMichele Morgan is originally from Canada, moving to Minnesota to attend college. Michele discerned a call to be a Priest while attending St. John's Minneapolis and volunteering as a youth minister. She packed up and moved to New York City to pursue a Masters in Divinity in the fall of 2001. After graduation, Michele worked for three years as associate rector at Ascension Stillwater, then worked as an Interim/Transitional Priest in St. Cloud. She served for ten months as Interim Children, Youth & Families Minister at St John's, followed by interim work at St. James on the Parkway in Minneapolis. In addition to her clergy work, Michele is an usher at Target Field, where she not only cheers on the Minnesota Twins but always picks up great sermon material. Michele lives in Northeast Minneapolis with her beloved partner, Michelle Dibblee, and their new puppy, Rosie. Michele will serve as St John's transitional priest during the search for a permanent rector, which is expected to be completed in fall/winter 2012. John loves riding his recumbent bicycle everywhere, Nordic skiing, cooking for big crowds, and photography. John is married to Minnneapolis native Lynnell Mickelsen. They have three sons, Will, Jackson, and Carter. Kate Stebinger, a hospital chaplain at Hennepin County Medical Center, and her wife Louisa, a professor at Macalaster, moved to the Twin Cities from Massachusetts over two years ago. They and their dog, Maddy live in the Longfellow neighborhood. Kate joined St John's because of the community's commitment to spiritual exploration, creativity and service. She loves being a part of liturgy planning and exploring how our worship together both reflects and shapes our community spirituality. She also adores setting tables, doing dishes and hopes to soon find a place among the kitchen crew! |
